Victor de Pous is a graduate of the Amsterdam-based Vrije Universiteit Law School (1983) and works since then on the business and legal aspects of ICT as a corporate lawyer, industry analyst, researcher and writer. He focuses on living, working and doing business with digital technology in the information society. Important domains today include innovation and business models (web-based commerce, e-Government, souring of ICT, technology licensing, free and open source software, virtualization, cloud computing, new ways of work, and the regulatory and compliance domains), as well as technology standards and interoperability, and the vulnerabilities of modern societies who became dependent of digital products and services. Victor de Pous is also the Legal Counsel of IFIP.
