Stephen Ibaraki, is an ICT Fellow, Global Fellow, Distinguished Fellow, Hall of Fame inductee. Ibaraki holds more than 50 roles, awards, multiple lifetime achievement awards from industry, business, government, academia, and media; two Microsoft Global Gold awards and 7 time annual Microsoft Most Valuable Professional Awards (MVP: 2006-present).

Stephen is the vice-chair IFIP IP3, founding host IT Manager Connection, founding chairman of the IFIP IP3 Global Industry Council (GIC), founding board member Federation of Enterprise Architecture Professional Organizations (FEAPO), founding chairman of iGEN Knowledge Solutions, first Chairman of The Vine Group, founding chairman global board Global IT Community Association (2008/9), past chairman and president Canadian Information Processing Society (2007/8), founding executive board director ChinaValue and ChinaSNS, board director and past vice-chair Network Professional Association (NPA), member ACM Practitioner Board (PB) and Chair PB ACM Professional Development Committee (PDC), Chair ACM PB PDC Webinar Committee (PDC-W), Chair PB ACM Professionalism and Certification Committee (PCC), vice-chair IAB IFIP World CIO Forum (2010/11). Stephen also sits on many advisory boards.

Stephen was an invited industry chairman opening keynote speaker at the V Astana Economic / Connect 2012 Forum (AEF) speaking on "Investment into Models for ICT Innovation as a Driver for Growth". At the AEF, Stephen was officially invited to advise the region on ICT programs in government, education, industry, research, investments, seed funding. In May 2012, Stephen was a speaker on "Improving Economic Development, Regional GDP, Innovation, Education, Skills, Sustainability and Security by creating and growing a professional ICT workforce", ITU/UN/UNESCO World Summit on the Information Society Geneva. In June 2012, Stephen was an invited industry chairman and speaker for two sessions on "Insights from Chief Information Officers and Chief Technology Officers" and "Governance/Board Insights", ISACA World Congress INSIGHTS 2012 San Francisco.

His first experiences with technology began in 1965 when he built his first analog computer and then quickly moving to digital technology, and software. He also is a retired multiple award winning tenured college educator in technology and business and head of research advanced professional programs.

Stephen Ibaraki advises global fortune companies on strategy and technology such as Microsoft where he is a Strategic Advisor; has written articles, papers, and reports on technology distributed worldwide; authored 11 books distributed by Xephon; spoken at regional, national, and international conferences; been interviewed as an IT expert for the press and for Internet broadcasts with live questions and answers taken from users around the globe.
